I've gotten a TON of emails with inquiries about my opinion on the Launch Angle.
Is "Launch Angle" and "Exit Velocity" just another flavor of the month hitting trend?
Or is there some truth to it?
Well - believe me, the guys who get paid are the guys driving runners in BUT this is about being a great hitter FIRST.
Hitting for just a little bit of power isn't going to be a deal-breaker for most hitters.
How many DHs are getting paid in the big leagues right now?
About 15? Chances are, you won't be one of them.
BIG NUMBERS probably won't be THE THING that gets you to the next level.
It might. More than likely - hitting consistent hard line drives will.
Trust me - Hank Aaron didn't know about Launch Angles during his career.
Do you think that affected him?
Being a great hitter first before learning how to hit for power...
...this is the way to go.
But I get it. Launch Angle is the "in thing" for now.
So here are some of my thoughts.
